Iran Mobed Council - General
Meeting and Election
May 21, 2004
The Annual General Meeting of Iran's Zoroastrian Mobed Coucil was held
this morning Friday 1st of Khordad 1383 (May 21, 2004) at 9 AM at Sazman
Javanan
Faravahar in Tehran.
74 men and wemen members (yes, of course, the council has many wemen
(members) attended the meeting. A representative from Internal ministry
of government was also attended to oversee the meeting.
Iran Mobed Council is the oldest mobed councils in the world. Membership
is open to Mobeds, Mobedyars, and Mobedzadehs. Its election is held
every three years, with yearly General Meetings.
Mobed Dr. Jahangir Oshidari, the current chair of the council openned
the meeting and spoke. Mr. Shid, the current treasurer presented the
financial statement for last year.
As an election officer for Mobed Coucil, I'd like to report the final
results:
74 votes were casted to choose 7 board members out of 13 candidates.
