Arabs murdered almost everyone, some Iranians fled to other countries; some left urban cities and fled to dessert area to Yazd and Kerman. Many women and children were captured and sold as slave in Makke and Madineh. There were left some poor people and some farmers and old people who had to pay high taxes (Jazieh) and accept Islam in order to save their own lives.
